jones, Daniel K. Molossia Danny, Molo USA 19 Male Unsure I am a soldier on my own, I don't know the way APPEARANCE 5'9 139 lb Pale Light Blond Short Blue-Green Roughly around 5'9, Molossia is a bit on the thin, wiry side with a pale, fair complexion that causes him to burn easily in the desert sun. His hair is short and a pale blond color, and he has two ahoge that are similar to America's Nantucket, although more curled over. He also wears rectangular glasses over bluish-green eyes. He has a uniform, but if it's undercover work or casual dress, he'll normally just go with a pair of jeans and a shirt or tank (depending on the weather). He now keeps a holster on his belt where a handgun is stored, although it isn't used unless necessary. I'm ready for the fight and fate PERSONALITY Molossia is determined, resilient, and stubborn-but then, that is sort of a must to survive in the desert with limited natural resources (especially ones that aren't contaminated). He's actually fairly friendly, a trait that's particularly useful in establishing and maintaining alliances-although in cases where he has to deal with enemies especially, he can tend to be something of a smartass. He's reluctant to use violence, but at this point he's had to ditch his anti-gun laws for the sake of protecting his borders and allies. He's imaginative and creative, although he used to be more so when he was younger, before the war and plague. He does have a tendency towards curiosity, and is usually up for some scavenging mission or expedition or another. He can tend to be a bit on the restless side anyway, so it helps him burn off some energy. He's also known for being fairly tolerant, and is generally pretty accepting and open to differences. Just don't get on his bad side, because he can and will likely hold a grudge. EXTRA |
He's unsure about his 'father nation', so to speak, but considering that his name was originally 'Vuldstein', it's ironically likely that his father nation was Germanic-potentially Prussia. His mother nation is America. As for siblings, he definitely considers NottaLottaAcres (NoLoRes) as a sister and has heard of a few other potential siblings, such as Templar and Free State of Prussia. He also has a few dogs he named Nova and Poppy, a valley quail peep he calls 'Molopeep', and a few horses (Chip, Rocket, and Lightning).

HISTORY
Before the plague, Molossia was originally founded in Portland, Oregon under the name 'Grand Republic of Vuldstein' by two children in 1977 (James I and Keven Baugh). As a personification, nobody's entirely sure where he came from-he happened to show up around this time, found by these kids on the roadside. Molossia was taken in by James's family for a while, but bizarrely didn't seem to age past toddlerhood for the longest time. When James I left Vuldstein in 1978 due to a move to a different school and passed command of the micronation over to Baugh, his family gave the child over to Baugh's family as well.
As the micronation went stagnant, Molossia didn't age until about twenty years later, when Baugh moved down to Nevada with Molossia and renamed the micronation Republic of Molossia. A website was set up, culture and territory began to develop, 'wars' were fought, and gradually, the child began to grow. When the war and plague broke out, Molossia appeared to be around 11-12 or so.
After the war and plague, Molossia and his people were in pretty dire straits-on the upside, they were at least somewhat apart from some of the rioting that happened in the more urban centers, but their access to natural resources were lacking. Things only went from bad to worse when reactors went into meltdown and contaminated everything, although luckily he wasn't quite in the path of contamination. For a while he was able to scavenge some in the Vegas area, but this became too risky and was taxing on what bit of gasoline they had. However, they did take in some refugees during their scavenging ventures, or refugees that happened to be passing through and on their last leg (which really, were few and far between).
Although the expanded population was only all the more taxing on Molossia's limited resources, it did help improve the odds of success in scavenging missions for a while, and things definitely started picking up when Molossia made some alliances with other surrounding areas and up-and-coming micronations like NottaLottaAcres. It did help, certainly, when he got some access to horses, which allowed easier transport. He also used this to help develop at least one service useful in trade: a courier system, which helped the surrounding territories with the passing of information and packages, for better or for worse. He also makes soap, provided he has the materials for it.
In recent years, his explorations led him to the discovery of Area 51-specifically, that Area 51 is now noticeably abandoned. He's still incredibly wary of the area, and tends to wear a surgical mask whenever visiting there (just in case the plague still lingers), but he's officially expanded his territory down into that area to lay claim to the former base. Even after having it for a few years, he's still exploring it when able. This find has also helped lead to definite growth, too, as the base supplied his community with a few good stockpiles of water, MREs, medical supplies and so on that were tucked away on the base, as well as guns and ammo for better protection, and other such things that would be good for trade. He's attempting some agricultural projects, also-although he's not getting his hopes up too terribly high for success, he's still willing to try. Also, despite being locked in a thirty-year struggle with East Germany (presumably Prussia) over Ernst Thalmann Island, he's pretty much decided to hand the island over to Prussia at this point, since he now has some actual territory of his own-so long as they can have trade relations with each other.
